Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Estimation Engineer role based in Mumbai. The Estimation Engineer will prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for data centre, smart building, fire and life safety, and integrated security projects, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and client requirements. The role includes reviewing drawings and tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, and coordinating with engineering, procurement, and project teams to validate costs and scope. The Estimation Engineer will analyze vendor quotations, support negotiations, and provide value engineering options to optimize cost while maintaining compliance and quality standards. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve maintaining estimation databases, supporting bid submissions, participating in client and consultant discussions, and providing estimation inputs for project planning and budgeting.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and project estimation for infrastructure and system integration projects.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of civil engineering principles and exposure to construction or critical infrastructure environments.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation skills for vendor and subcontractor discussions, along with cost comparison and value engineering capabilities.
- Candidates should possess solid research skills to analyze market rates, technical specifications, and emerging solutions relevant to data centre and building systems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Electrical, Electronics, or related discipline) or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in estimation for ELV, fire and life safety, building management systems, or integrated security solutions is highly beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and estimation/tendering tools, with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional technical and project teams.
