Role Description The Estimation Engineer at Faboolux Interiors will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for interior design and fit-out projects. This full-time, on-site role is based in Kochi and involves analyzing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine material, labor, and time requirements. The Estimation Engineer will collaborate closely with design, procurement, and project teams to validate quantities, refine budgets, and optimize cost-effective solutions. Daily tasks include conducting market research on material and labor rates, supporting vendor negotiations, and revising estimates based on design changes or client feedback. The role also involves maintaining up-to-date estimation records, contributing to proposal documentation, and ensuring estimates align with company quality and profitability standards.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in BOQ preparation and project estimation for interior or construction projects.
- Background in Civil Engineering or related field, with solid understanding of construction and interior fit-out processes.
- Ability to conduct thorough market and cost research to support accurate and competitive estimates.
- Effective negotiation skills for coordinating with vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in estimation and design software (e.g., MS Excel, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
- Previous experience in interior design, fit-out, or construction estimation is preferred.
