Role Description The Estimation Engineer role is a full-time position based in Surat, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows some work from home. The Estimation Engineer will review architectural and engineering drawings, prepare accurate BOQs, and develop cost estimates for fenestration projects. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing project requirements, coordinating with design and project teams, sourcing and evaluating material costs, and preparing detailed quotations. The role involves supporting negotiations with clients and vendors by providing clear estimation data, updating estimates based on design changes, and contributing to value engineering proposals. The Estimation Engineer will also conduct market and technical research to improve estimation accuracy and support overall project planning.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in BOQ preparation and Project Estimation for construction or fenestration projects.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Civil Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
- Candidates should possess effective Negotiation skills for working with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
- Candidates should possess Research skills for market analysis, material options, and cost benchmarking.
- Proficiency in estimation and MS Office or relevant estimation software, with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in façade, windows, doors, or fenestration projects is an advantage.
