Role Description The Estimation Engineer will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for civil construction projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and drawings. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing tender documents, conducting quantity take-offs, coordinating with engineering and procurement teams, and preparing detailed cost breakdowns for materials, labor, and subcontractors. The role also involves researching market rates, supporting negotiations with vendors, and updating estimation databases and templates as projects progress. The Estimation Engineer will collaborate with project managers to assess budget implications of design changes and provide timely cost-related inputs for decision-making. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong project estimation and BOQ preparation skills, with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications accurately.
- Candidates should possess a solid foundation in civil engineering, including knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Candidates should possess effective negotiation and vendor coordination skills to support cost optimization and competitive tendering.
- Candidates should possess research and analytical skills to track market rates, benchmark costs, and support data-driven estimation decisions.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in estimation and quantity take-off software, as well as MS Excel and other productivity tools.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with project, design, and procurement teams.
