The Project Engineer at ESI provides essential support to the project management team in the planning, bidding, management, coordination, and execution of construction projects. This role involves administrative, procedural, and operational tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and in compliance with company standards and client requirements.
This role is based at our headquarters in Meridian, Idaho.

Responsibilities

Support all aspects of a construction project, including preconstruction, bidding, construction/operations, project close-out, and warranty.

Manage project documentation control, including organizing, maintaining, and updating plans (ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.), RFI’s and responses, submittals, correspondence, logs, and taking and distributing meeting minutes.

Participate in bid activities, including bid review, securing adequate scope coverage, and estimating.

Support the change management process by requesting, tracking, and reviewing subcontractor pricing, and drafting subcontractor change orders.
Qualifications

General knowledge of building construction, materials, means and methods, scheduling, project accounting and cost control procedures, general contract structure, general conditions, subcontract documents, construction drawings and specifications.

Can effectively search, navigate, and interpret contract documents (plans, specifications, RFI’s, ASI’s, CCD’s, etc.).

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite programs; specifically, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.

Demonstrates leadership, integrity, perseverance, reliability, respect and self-discipline.
