Escalon Unified School District spans approximately 161 square miles and is located in southern San Joaquin County along the northern back of the Stanislaus River. The district was formed in 1967 from the unification of seven elementary districts and one secondary district. Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Special Education, the Occupational
The therapist participates as a member of the educational team to assess student performance in areas of disability. The role involves developing assessment reports, identifying student abilities within educational, developmental, or functional parameters, and creating individual occupational therapy intervention plans. The therapist also develops goals and objectives for consideration in IEP team meetings and maintains all necessary documentation and reports. Position requires travel to and from sites within Escalon and other districts within the San Joaquin County SELPA contracted with Escalon
Unified School District.
Requirements / Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING:
Possess a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy
Licensed Occupational Therapist through the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT)
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
Previous work experience in School-Based Occupational Therapy.
Training and/or experience in Sensory Integration, Assistive Technology, and working with
various neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum, cognitive impairments,
orthopedic impairments, mental health disorders, and deaf/hard of hearing.
