Job Description
The
Support Developer will ensure
stable, secure, and high‑quality Salesforce releases by owning the
automation pipeline, quality gates, environment reliability, and production support within an ESaaS context. The role bridges
development, QA, and DevSecOps, focusing on
test automation engineering, CI/CD health, observability, and incident/problem management for Salesforce (multi‑cloud) implementations.
Responsibilities
- Automation Engineering & Test Enablement
Build and maintain automated test suites for UI (Lightning), API, and Integration using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Provar, Playwright, Tosca.
Develop reusable utilities for data setup/cleanup, test stubs/mocks, and test data generation.
Ensure regression, smoke, and sanity suites run reliably across environments; triage flaky tests and stabilize pipelines.
Contribute to Apex unit/integration test strategies, code coverage improvements, and test data management.
Own and optimize pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, Copado/Flosum) for deployments, test orchestration, and reporting.
Implement quality gates: static analysis (PMD/SonarQube), SCA/secret scans (Snyk/OWASP), dependency checks, and policy enforcement.
Manage environment strategy: sandbox hygiene, seeding, backup/restore, and metadata/package versioning.
Automate pre‑ and post‑deployment validations and rollback playbooks.
- Reliability, Observability & Support
Monitor release health with dashboards/alerts; analyze pipeline and test failures to drive mean time to detect (MTTD) and mean time to recover (MTTR) improvements.
Lead L2/L3 incident triage for Salesforce apps (Sales/Service/Experience/CPQ/FSL), integrations, and jobs (scheduled flows, Apex, middleware).
Perform root cause analysis (RCA); implement problem management with preventative fixes, automation, or configuration changes.
Coordinate hotfixes and post‑release hardening with dev/QA/ops.
Validate and troubleshoot REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, External Services, and middleware (MuleSoft/Boomi/etc.).
Own test data strategy: data masking, synthetic data, subsetting, and environment parity checks.
Support LDV performance testing and improvements (indexes, selective queries, async patterns).
- Governance, Compliance & Documentation
Enforce secure SDLC, audit trails, SoD, and release readiness.
Maintain runbooks, environment maps, deployment checklists, and RCA wikis.
Contribute to reusable frameworks and ESaaS standards for automation and DevSecOps.
Qualifications
- Hands-on with at least one test automation tool: Selenium, Cypress, Provar, Playwright, Tosca (Provar preferred for SFDC).
- Programming in Java/JavaScript/TypeScript/Python; strong SOQL/SOSL knowledge.
- CI/CD with Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions / GitLab / Jenkins / Copado / Flosum.
- Experience with SonarQube/PMD, Snyk/OWASP ZAP, and secrets management.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce: Lightning (LWC), Apex (async/batch), Flows, Profiles/Perm Sets, OWD/sharing, metadata & deployments.
- API testing: Postman/Newman, RestAssured, Karate (nice to have).
- Logging/monitoring: dashboards, alerts, and pipeline analytics.
