Role Description This is a full-time, on-site ERPNext Developer role based in the Greater Ahmedabad Area. The ERPNext Developer will design, customize, and maintain ERPNext modules to support business processes across finance, operations, inventory, sales, HR, and related functions. Responsibilities include gathering and analyzing requirements, configuring and extending ERPNext features, writing custom scripts and server-side code, and integrating ERPNext with other internal and third-party systems. The role involves collaborating closely with business stakeholders, analysts, and project managers to translate functional needs into technical solutions, as well as testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance. The developer will also prepare technical documentation, support end users, and contribute to continuous improvement of ERP standards, best practices, and deployment processes.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in ERPNext development, including customization of DocTypes, workflows, reports, and print formats.
- Hands-on experience with Frappe framework, including Python server-side development and client-side scripting (JavaScript).
- Solid understanding of relational databases (e.g., MariaDB/MySQL), data modeling, and query optimization.
- Experience with REST APIs, system integration, and connecting ERPNext to external applications or services.
- Knowledge of core business processes such as accounting, inventory, sales, purchasing, production, and HR.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), code review practices, and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills in ERP environments.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Prior experience in ERPNext implementation projects or support for multiple clients or business units is preferred.
- Exposure to Linux server administration, deployment, and basic DevOps practices (bench, backups, updates) is an advantage.
