About the Company
Swarna Square is an early-stage startup building an India-first Jewellery ERP & SaaS platform designed to modernize how jewellery MSMEs manage inventory, POS, billing, compliance, and daily operations.
We are currently at the MVP stage, moving towards pilot customers, and are looking for a hands-on ERP Technical Lead / EM who can own the tech vision and execution end-to-end.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building from zero, making architectural decisions, and shaping a product that will scale across thousands of small businesses.
What We Do
We are solving deeply fragmented operational problems in the jewellery industry by building:
- Inventory & stock management (SKU, weight, purity, batches)
- POS & billing workflows
- Vendor & customer management
- Reports, analytics & operational dashboards
- Scalable ERP foundations tailored for Indian MSMEs
Strong ERP knowledge is essential to architect scalable and future-ready systems.
Role & Responsibilities
As the ERP Technical Lead / EM, you will:
- Own the overall system architecture (backend-first, ERP-grade systems)
- Lead end-to-end MVP development (from schema design to deployment)
- Make key decisions on tech stack, scalability, and security
- Build and review clean, maintainable, production-ready code
- Design ERP workflows: inventory, transactions, roles, permissions, reports
- Handle deployment strategy, environments, and infra readiness
- Set coding standards, reviews, and engineering best practices
- Mentor and guide other developers, overlook the progress (current/future)
- Work closely with founders on product decisions & trade-offs
- Prepare the product for pilot customers & real-world usage
This is a builder + decision-maker role, not just task execution.
Minimum Qualifications & Requirements
Must-Have
- 8–12 years of experience in full-stack or backend-heavy development
- Prior experience building or scaling ERP, SaaS, or complex business systems
- Strong backend expertise (data modeling, APIs, performance, security)
- Experience with production deployments and real users
- Hands-on experience taking products from 0 → MVP → pilot
- Strong system design & problem-solving skills
- Ownership mindset - comfortable with ambiguity and early-stage chaos
- Ability to work independently and make architectural decisions
- Having experience in any kind of ERP is MANDATORY.
Good-to-Have
- Exposure to Indian MSME workflows or compliance-driven products
- Startup / founding engineer experience
- Experience designing systems for scalability & multi-tenant SaaS
- Prior mentoring or tech leadership experience
