About This Opportunity
This role is part of a managed services operations organization, focused on design and operational excellence within the Telecom Packet Core domain. You will work closely with the CORE Head, contributing to the stability, performance, and evolution of multi-vendor core network infrastructure across 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, and IMS CORE technologies. The position requires a self-driven professional who can operate independently, manage high-priority customer escalations, and deliver quality outcomes with a right-first-time approach. Flexibility to support operations during emergency situations, including shift-based work, is expected.
What You Will Do
• Lead and support design-related activities within a managed services operations environment
• Perform configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Packet Core nodes including SGSN, GGSN, MME, AMF, SMF, DNS, and PCRF across Cisco, Huawei, and Ericsson platforms
• Carry out trace analysis for 4G and 5G call flows and drive Packet Core KPI monitoring, analysis, and improvement
• Execute network configurations including OSPF setup, IP pool addition, OCS/DRA/PCRF definition, LAC barring, CSFB, SRVCC, APN creation, BSC/RNC migration, and TAI-DB management
• Configure and integrate interfaces including Gb, Gr, Gi, Gn, IUPS, Gx, Gy, Gz, S1, S6a, S11, SGs, and S10
• Manage VoLTE/IMS-related configurations in MME and GGSN environments
• Support Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) configurations and Service Awareness concepts
• Handle VVIP customer complaints independently, ensuring swift and effective resolution
• Drive end-user perception improvement initiatives and differentiated charging implementations
Flexibility to support operations during emergency situations, including shift-based work, is expected.
You Will Bring
• 8 to 15 years of relevant experience in Telecom Packet Core networks
• Strong domain knowledge across 2G/3G/4G/5G and IMS CORE technologies
• Hands-on experience with Ericsson Packet Core elements (SGSN/MME/GGSN/AMF/SMF) and Huawei network elements (USN9810, UGW9811)
• In-depth product knowledge of Cisco & Huawei SGW/PGW and MME (latest versions)
• Proficiency in GSM, WCDMA, LTE, VoLTE standards and 3GPP PS Core protocols
• Strong understanding of SS7 networks, GPRS, EPC/LTE/VoLTE call flows, and RF network of GPRS
• Expertise in Packet Core KPI analysis, improvement planning, and PACO-related metrics
• Knowledge of Service Awareness and differentiated charging concepts
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and adapt to shift-based or on-call requirements
