Role Description The Erection Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Odisha, India. This role is responsible for overseeing the erection and installation of pre-engineered building structures, ensuring that work is executed according to design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. Daily tasks include coordinating with site supervisors and erection crews, reviewing engineering drawings, planning erection sequences, and monitoring progress to resolve technical or operational issues. The Erection Engineer will inspect structural components, verify alignment and connections, and ensure quality control throughout the erection process. The role also involves regular reporting on site status, collaborating with project managers and clients, and supporting smooth handover of completed structures.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, steel structures, and pre-engineered building systems.
- Experience with reading and interpreting technical drawings, erection plans, and construction documentation.
- Knowledge of construction site safety practices, relevant codes, and standards applicable to structural erection.
- Practical experience in site supervision, coordination with contractors, and management of erection teams.
- Ability to plan and sequence erection activities to meet project schedules and quality requirements.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams and clients.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to make timely decisions on-site.
- Proficiency with basic engineering and office software (e.g., MS Office; familiarity with CAD tools is an advantage).
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or a related field.
- Prior experience in PEB erection or industrial/commercial steel construction is highly desirable.
- Willingness to work on-site in Odisha and travel to different project locations as required.
