About The Role
Our purpose in Enterprise Risk & Audit (ERA) is to support Haleon to make the right risk management decisions and deliver real impact as an agent for change.

The ERA team is made up of experts in risk management and internal control, with specialised knowledge of different risk and business areas. ERA has a partnering relationship with the business which helps us understand emerging risks, identify issues early, and conduct our audits in an effective way. There is a significant level of liaison with key business stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that assurance is fit-for-purpose and responsive to changes in the business an risk environment.
Role Purpose
This role will primarily be accountable for managing and supporting ERA’s technology and tools.
In addition, the role will develop, assemble, and distribute the data analytics needed to support Haleon’s Internal Audit team during planning and fieldwork activities, thereby Increasing audit coverage and effectiveness by moving the audit from a sampled based to a full population approach. They will also have responsibilities in addressing ad-hoc analytics requests which may come from the Internal Audit Leadership Team. From time to time, they may be asked to participate in the delivery of Internal Audits focused on financial, operational, IT, ethics & compliance risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology & Application Management
- Own and manage ERA’s application portfolio, including:
- Audit Universe
- Internal Audit Management System
- Documentum & data storage platforms
- Retain scheduling tools
- Access management across ERA and enterprise systems (ERP)
- Support implementation and adoption of new audit technologies
- Data Analytics Leadership
- Define and execute ERA’s data analytics strategy and roadmap
- Drive audit automation and continuous monitoring initiatives
- Use analytics to improve audit coverage and effectiveness
- Ensure alignment with Haleon’s broader enterprise data strategy
- Deliver insights via dashboards, automation tools, and advanced analytics (e.g., Alteryx, SQL)

- Support audit lifecycle activities:
- Planning
- Fieldwork
- Reporting
- Follow-ups
- Utilize analytics to identify risks, anomalies, and control gaps

Key performance indicators (financial and non-financial)
- ERA technology supports and enables Haleon’s Core Audit Methodology.
- Reduces the volume of substantive work performed by the Internal Audit Team.
- Supports delivery of audit assignments to the required quality, time, and budget.
- Builds effective stakeholder relationships.
Relationships and key contacts
- Exposure to Technology and Business leaders across Haleon in all territories.
- Relationships with ERA and Technology Data Leadership teams.
Role Specific Requirements
Skills & Experience
- Background – Experienced defining and managing Internal Audit focussed technical tools, applications and processes. Experience of data analytics tools and processes, ability to define an Internal Audit data analytics roadmap. Has worked in fast moving Internal Audit environments with developing risk/control frameworks. Ability to operate in a flat organisational structure with direct exposure to senior leaders. Experience in consumer healthcare or another regulated environment is preferable, but not essential.
- Commercial Focus – Demonstrates a proven track record of identifying, assessing, and evaluating technology solutions. Advising stakeholders, providing insight and innovative technical solutions, from a risk perspective, while understanding the commercial view.
- Communication and Influencing Skills – Proven track record in building and maintaining effective stakeholder relationships, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills. Can quickly build rapport, able to manage complex relationships demonstrating influence and a supportive style.
- Problem Solving and Analytical Skills – Ability to quickly understand and critically analyse complex processes, identify, and assess potential risks and controls, determining how data analytics can be used.
Qualifications
- Educated to degree level or above (bachelors or masters) in a Technology, Accounting, Finance or Business-related subject. PREFERRED.
- Strong technology proficiency in Audit Management Systems, Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, SQL) and data analytics tools (for example Alteryx). REQUIRED.

- Travel opportunities across Haleon. Candidate should be able to travel up to 10%.
