Senior Trading Platform Engineer in our upcoming office in Bangalore, India
As a Senior Trading Platform Engineer you will be responsible to support, maintain, and optimize its MetaTrader 4 (MT4) and MetaTrader 5 (MT5) trading infrastructure. Also you will be responsible for ensuring high availability, low-latency performance, and seamless integrations across various trading systems. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including traders, developers, and IT specialists, to enhance platform stability, security, and efficiency.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual with a deep understanding of trading platforms, liquidity bridges, FIX API, MANAPI, and CI/CD automation in a fast-paced 24/5 trading environment.
Responsibilities
MT4/MT5 Administration & Support:
- Manage, configure, and optimize MT4/MT5 trading servers, gateways, and plugins.
- Ensure low-latency, high-performance trade execution and system stability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to MT4/MT5, FIX API, MANAPI, liquidity bridges (OneZero, PrimeXM, FX Cubic), and third-party integrations.
- Apply security updates, patches, and performance enhancements to maintain platform integrity.
Trading Platform Development & Optimization:
- Develop and maintain custom plugins, bridges, and APIs for MT4/MT5 integration.
- Optimize trading infrastructure for scalability, security, and performance.
- Deploy and manage monitoring and observability solutions to track system health, stability, and resource
usage.
- Implement proactive incident detection tools for production and staging environments.
Security & Compliance:
- Enforce industry-best security practices to safeguard client data and transactions.
- Monitor and manage user access controls and platform authentication.
Incident Management & Continuous Improvement:
- Provide Level 2 & Level 3 support for complex trading platform issues, escalating when necessary.
- Analyse incident reports, system logs, and trade execution records to enhance platform reliability.
- Work closely with traders, trade operations, and IT teams to continuously improve execution quality and overall trading experience.
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 2 years in a high-pressure trading support environment (24/5).
- Expertise in MT4/MT5 platform administration, including Manager API (MANAPI), Bridge Providers, and FIX Engine.
- Ability to create applications/tools using Metaquotes Manapi is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of PrimeXM (PXM), OneZero, and FX Cubic liquidity bridges.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, including Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, and File Servers.
- Hands-on experience with FIX API, FIX protocol, and custom integration solutions.
- Experience with SQL databases, query writing, and scripting (MySQL/ PowerShell/Bash).
- Proficiency in MQL4/MQL5, Python, or C++ (optional but highly advantageous).
- Hands-on experience in building and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
- Strong familiarity with Linux, Windows Server, networking protocols, and cloud environments (AWS,
Azure, Google Cloud).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Solarwinds or other equivalent.
Trading & Business Knowledge:
- Familiarity with Forex, CFDs, stocks and crypto trading.
- Strong understanding of trading liquidity, aggregation, and execution mechanisms.
- Exposure to equities, options, and algorithmic trading strategies is a plus.
- Quick learner with a strong analytical mindset and eagerness to grow professionally.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to incident resolution.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, working effectively with traders, developers, and IT professionals.
Due to the nature of global financial markets, shifts and weekend work may be required for operational support.
