We are hiring for IT & Vendor Operations Manager at Equipp.in!
Equipp is building a rental-first ecosystem for laptops, gaming consoles, and other technology, helping individuals and companies access the devices they need without large upfront costs.
We’re looking for an IT & Vendor Operations Manager to take ownership of our device quality, procurement, repairs, and vendor relationships. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with hardware, negotiating with vendors, and building systems that make operations more efficient.
What you’ll do:
- Diagnose and repair laptop hardware and software issues.
- Own quality checks (QC) for every laptop and rental device before it reaches a customer.
- Source laptops, spare parts, accessories, and other IT equipment.
- Get and compare vendor quotations and negotiate pricing.
- Manage relationships with repair, hardware, and other IT vendors.
- Track repairs, warranties, inventory condition, and recurring technical issues.
- Build simple processes and systems to improve device quality and reduce repair costs.
What we’re looking for:
- 2–5 years of experience in IT hardware, laptop repair, technical operations, or a similar role.
- Strong practical knowledge of laptop hardware and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable diagnosing and fixing common laptop issues hands-on.
- Good vendor management and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable working with Excel / Google Sheets.
Nice to have:
- CompTIA A+ or Hardware & Networking certification.
- Hands-on experience with Dell, Lenovo, HP, or Apple devices.
- Experience working with refurbished/used laptops or in a rental business.
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, technically curious, resourceful, and comfortable owning problems end-to-end — someone who is as comfortable opening up a laptop to diagnose an issue as they are finding the right replacement part at the right price.
