Team Overview
EquiLend’s Clearing Services (ECS) team is driving innovation in the securities finance industry. As a key business line within EquiLend, ECS facilitates central clearing of securities lending transactions via central counterparties (CCPs), enhancing capital efficiency, mitigating counterparty risk, and streamlining operational processes.
Headquartered in New York, the ECS team operates in a high-energy environment focused on scaling one of EquiLend’s most strategic platforms. We are currently seeking a Senior Associate, ECS Trader to join the team and play a pivotal role in executing client trading strategies, optimizing cleared trade flows, and supporting platform growth in the U.S. market.
Role Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day trading activity across the ECS platform with a focus on risk, pricing, and trade efficiency.
- Support the onboarding and ongoing engagement of clients, ensuring seamless trade execution and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with CCPs, borrowers, and internal teams to optimize trade flow and improve margin outcomes.
- Monitor market trends and contribute to trade idea generation to support client activity and platform expansion.
- Partner with Operations, Technology, and Product teams to enhance ECS trading workflows and user experience.
- Assist in preparing materials and insights for regulatory and industry discussions on central clearing.
- Represent the ECS platform in client meetings and contribute to driving adoption across the trading community.
Required Skills
- 5+ years experience in securities finance, equity finance, or prime brokerage trading.
- Strong understanding of central clearing mechanisms and their influence on trading and operational models.
- Demonstrated trading acumen, including risk analysis and trade optimization.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Experience working in high-pressure, dynamic environments with an emphasis on client delivery.
- Solid collaboration skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams across global locations.
- Strong Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Prior experience in cleared securities lending or operational functions is advantageous.

- Compensation: The annual total compensation range for this position is $140,000 - $180,000 per annum comprising of base salary and variable performance related pay. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and interview performance.
