About the role

Delivery Lead- Remote First

Equal Experts is an innovative consultancy specialising in the delivery of custom software solutions for blue-chip enterprise and public sector clients across a range of industry sectors. We work on important projects for our clients, deliver market-leading propositions across the digital, online and mobile channels, and are recognised for our leadership in the application of agile and lean delivery methods to assure delivery. We have offices in Australia, India, South Africa, the UK, the EU and the USA.

We’re looking for Delivery Leads with proven senior-level experience to join the Equal Experts

network.

As a member of the team, you will work alongside our clients to help deliver products and solutions to meet business needs and help your teams deliver better. And, of course, all this happens in a consultative, collaborative fashion – in keeping with our values.

This role involves working in teams that use modern agile technical practices - including continuous integration and deployment and fast feedback loops - to deliver timely and pragmatic solutions, as well as helping others to do their jobs in a more effective way.

Responsibilities

  • Enable and facilitate teams to deliver software products to achieve the client’s business outcomes.
  • Provide delivery assurance, assess the delivery status and highlight/eliminate problems that threaten to destabilise delivery.
  • Facilitate teams physically and remotely, working with team-members from Equal Experts, the client and other suppliers.
  • Work with an array of roles including Technical, Business, Research and product stakeholders to align and enable them to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Create and maintain a delivery plan (working with the wider team), and track and report on the progress against the plan.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders.

Required Skills

  • Have a deep understanding of (agile and lean) delivery principles. You know how and when to implement them using various (agile and lean) methodologies with the team and client, and you can advocate for these ways of working inside and outside your team.
  • Have an outcome-driven mindset instead of being output driven. You can deliver value in a measured way, recognise when you are not, and know how to respond to change.
  • Be able to pull together a cohesive delivery approach with the team and share progress openly.
  • Ensuring extended delivery teams practise the core principles of collaboration, prioritisation and visibility.
  • Understand and drive the benefits of iterative development and continuous delivery.
  • Proven track record of working with multidisciplinary teams aligned to deliver joint goals and objectives.
  • Experience of working across multiple teams to build contextual awareness of other delivery teams and products and their impact.
  • Ability to identify, assess and manage risks and issues, and come up with strategies to eliminate them.
  • Have an understanding/appreciation of the technical solution and architecture which is being delivered or chosen.
  • Strong knowledge of what is entailed in delivering software.
  • Excellent Team facilitation skills to bring the team together remotely and physically for various ceremonies and events.
  • Be able to work with teams and stakeholders at all organisational levels to embed continuous improvement in all ways of working.
  • Able to take an idea from a stakeholder from inception and facilitate delivery right through to implementation and operation, including engagement with business change/operational teams.
  • Able to create a working environment where the team can self manage, take responsibility, innovate and learn.
