About the role
The internship will provide the successful candidates with the opportunity to conduct meaningful research and gain valuable industry experience. The intern will work within a designated business group, supporting research initiatives and having other responsibilities aligned with the team's goals. This role is located in Toronto (possibility of fully remote).
The Core Responsibilities Of The Job:
Work across the various teams within Mortgage Services on a rotational basisdepartment to understand key responsibilities of each unit
Understand and follow policies, guidelines, and procedures
Work within established guidelines to prioritize workload and liaise with various internal teams
Conduct research on systemic barriers to mortgages for Indigenous peoples
Draw on lived experiences to bring awareness to issues impacting Indigenous communities
Work collectively with peer Indigenous Interns
Develop and deliver a final paper/report with findings and recommendations
Support business group initiatives and assist with day-to-day operations as required
Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements
Participate in meetings and contribute insights relevant to the team's objectives
Support additional administrative or project-based tasks as needed
