Role Description This full-time, on-site Epidemiologist role is based in Bengaluru. The Epidemiologist will design and conduct epidemiologic studies, perform data analysis, and support disease surveillance activities relevant to specialty care and precision medicine. Responsibilities include reviewing scientific literature, developing study protocols, managing datasets, and interpreting statistical results for clinical and operational stakeholders. The role involves preparing reports and presentations, collaborating with cross-functional teams (including clinical, data science, and product teams), and contributing to evidence generation that informs value-based care strategies. The Epidemiologist will also support quality improvement initiatives and the development of data-driven insights to guide decision-making.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong epidemiology expertise, including study design, cohort and case-control methodologies, and application of epidemiologic principles in healthcare settings.
- Candidates should possess skills in literature reviews and evidence synthesis to evaluate existing research and inform study design and recommendations.
- Candidates should possess statistics and analytical skills, including proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SAS, Stata, or Python) and experience with data management and quantitative analysis.
- Candidates should possess disease surveillance skills, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting patterns and trends in clinical outcomes or population health.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include a master’s or doctoral degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Biostatistics, or a related field; experience working with healthcare or clinical data; strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present complex findings to non-technical audiences; and collaborative working skills in multidisciplinary teams.
