What we are looking for: 

The Manufacturing Estimator is responsible for managing new and existing packaging opportunities from initial request through quotation and customer submission. This role focuses on reviewing customer requirements, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors, and developing accurate, timely pricing proposals for packaging solutions. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of concurrent projects in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. This position typically supports the development of approximately 15–40 quotes per week, depending on incoming demand.


 What you will do:  

  • Manage a pipeline of packaging project opportunities from intake through quote submission 
  • Review customer requirements, specifications, drawings, and application needs to define scope of work 
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times, and material availability 
  • Compile, analyze, and validate vendor data to build accurate customer quotations 
  • Develop and deliver pricing proposals to customers in a timely and professional manner 
  • Maintain responsibility for approximately 15–40 quotes per week, depending on volume of incoming requests 
  • Ensure all quotes reflect accurate labor, material, tooling, and freight assumptions where applicable 
  • Track and manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness 
  • Communicate with customers to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on scope and expectations 
  • Maintain strong working relationships with vendors to support competitive pricing and reliable turnaround times 
  • Monitor quote status, follow up on open requests, and adjust as needed based on feedback or changes in requirements 
  • Maintain accurate records of all quoting activity, documentation, and pricing history within company systems 
  • Identify opportunities for cost optimization and alternative packaging solutions where applicable 
  • Escalate pricing, technical, or timeline issues to leadership when necessary 
  • Support continuous improvement of quoting processes and workflow efficiency 
  • Ensure timely response to all internal and external inquiries 
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of the role, with or without reasonable accommodation

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field (Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging, or related field preferred)
  • 2+ years of project management experience in a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Basic 3D modeling or CAD experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project management tools
  • Proficiency with project management tools and engineering software (CAD experience a plus)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously
