Research Associate - Peptide

Responsibilities

• Peptide Chemistry: Proficiency in peptide synthesis techniques: Solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS), Solution-phase peptide synthesis, Hybrid peptide synthesis.
• Instruments: Automated Peptide synthesizer, Microwave-assisted peptide synthesis, Flow chemistry proficiency
• Peptide Design and Engineering: Protecting group chemistry and selection of protecting groups, Peptide coupling reactions, Selection of coupling reagents and activating agents, Method Development and Optimization. Knowledge of Potential synthetic peptide process related impurities, Knowledge of impurity description and control
• Purification techniques: Column chromatography, Preparative HPLC, Crystallization
• Peptide Characterization: Data interpretation from HPLC & UPLC, Mass Spec, Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), SOR, CD, TLC Test Methods analysis. Interpretation of spectral data and chromatograms for peptide sequence confirmation, purity assessment, and impurity identification.
• Compliance: Adherence to regulatory requirements and guidelines for peptide drug development, including FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) standards. Documentation and Compliance, Laboratory safety protocols, Statistics in peptide synthesis
  
  

Experience & Qualification-

Qualification: M.Sc. chemistry (Organic)

Experience Range: 1 to 5 years
