We are seeking a 1099 contract advanced practice nurse to provide telehealth psychiatric services in a Community Mental Health Center setting:


Essential Duties:

  • Conduct psychiatric evaluations (initial and comprehensive) and provide follow-up visits as clinically indicated
  • Provide ongoing medication management, including prescribing and monitoring for efficacy, side effects, adherence, and safety
  • Deliver psychoeducation to clients (and, when appropriate, families/supports) regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and self-management strategies
  • Consult and collaborate with a multidisciplinary mental health team; provide clinical recommendations and help guide the overall course of treatment for clients

This role involves 10–15 hours of monthly client engagement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Current, unrestricted APN/NP licensure in Illinois
  • Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
  • Experience conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management across the lifespan or relevant populations served
  • Strong clinical documentation, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a Community Mental Health Center (CMHC) setting
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities and co-occurring behavioral health needs
  • Comfort providing consultation to interdisciplinary teams and supporting complex care coordination

Schedule / Engagement: Flexible scheduling to meet program and client needs; services are delivered via telehealth as permitted and clinically appropriate.
