Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bilaspur for an Environmental Specialist. The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for evaluating and ensuring compliance with environmental policies and regulations, developing and implementing environmental initiatives, and conducting environmental impact assessments. The role includes preparing reports, collaborating with community stakeholders to promote sustainable practices, and addressing environmental health and safety (EHS) concerns to ensure positive environmental outcomes.
Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience in Environmental Compliance and Environmental Policy implementation
- Expertise in Environmental Science and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
- Strong Communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and effectively present findings
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work on-site in a community-centered environment
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or a related field
- Prior experience in sustainable rural or community development is a plus
