Role Description The Environmental Health Safety (EHS) Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India. This role is responsible for implementing and monitoring EHS policies and procedures in line with corporate standards and local regulations across hotel operations. Day-to-day activities include conducting workplace inspections and risk assessments, tracking incident reports, coordinating corrective actions, and maintaining EHS documentation and records. The specialist will plan and deliver safety trainings, drills, and awareness programs for team members to promote a strong safety culture. The role also involves collaborating with operations, engineering, housekeeping, food and beverage, and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance, support audits, and drive continuous improvement in environmental sustainability, health, and safety performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Health & Safety and Occupational Health, with the ability to apply relevant standards and regulations in a hospitality environment.
- Hands-on experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and compliance reporting.
- Practical knowledge of Workplace Safety practices, including hazard identification, emergency preparedness, and safe operating procedures.
- Ability to design and deliver effective Safety Training sessions, toolbox talks, and drills for diverse teams and shifts.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent local qualifications) preferred.
- Experience in hotel, resort, or facilities management environments is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a collaborative and solution-focused approach.
- Comfort working in shifts or flexible hours as required by hotel operations.
