Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Environmental Health and Safety Manager, based in our Bharuch location. The primary responsibilities include developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and promote the health and safety of all employees. The role involves conducting risk assessments, training staff on safety practices, investigating workplace incidents, and collaborating with management to enhance workplace safety culture. The EHS Manager will also monitor environmental management systems and suggest continuous improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, workplace safety guidelines, and compliance standards
- Proven ability to develop and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures
- Experience in conducting safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations
- Skilled in training staff on health and safety practices and fostering a culture of safety
- Proficiency in data analysis and creating reports related to EHS performance
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Professional EHS certification (such as NEBOSH, CSP, or ISO 45001) is a strong advantage
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
