Role Description The Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Rajkot. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Daily responsibilities include conducting site inspections and risk assessments, overseeing safety audits, investigating incidents and near-misses, and maintaining EHS documentation and reports. The EHS Manager will organize and deliver training sessions for site personnel, coordinate emergency preparedness activities, and collaborate with project managers and supervisors to integrate safety and environmental best practices into construction operations. The role also involves engaging with stakeholders to drive a culture of safety, promoting continuous improvement in occupational health and environmental performance on site.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS), with the ability to design and implement effective site safety programs.
- Strong knowledge of Occupational Health practices, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and control measures in construction environments.
- Experience in Accident Investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action planning.
- Proven capability in Training design and delivery, particularly for safety inductions, toolbox talks, and regulatory compliance topics.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Familiarity with applicable Indian EHS laws, regulations, and standards relevant to construction projects.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence behavior and foster a culture of safety at all levels.
- Experience working in construction or industrial project sites; prior site-based EHS management experience in Rajkot or similar regions is an advantage.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, prepare clear reports, and use basic digital tools (e.g., MS Office) for documentation and analysis.
