Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Environment Faculty at the Officers IAS Academy, located in Chennai. The role involves designing and delivering comprehensive lectures on environmental studies, covering the syllabus for the Civil Services Exam. Additional responsibilities include developing relevant course materials, guiding students through their preparation, evaluating their progress, and addressing student queries. The faculty will also be involved in updating course content to reflect recent developments in the field of environmental studies.
Qualifications
- In-depth knowledge of environmental science, sustainable development, and environmental policies, particularly in the context of competitive exams like the Civil Services Examination
- Strong teaching skills, including an ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively, and experience preparing aspirants for competitive examinations is advantageous
- Research and content development skills, particularly in creating updated and effective teaching materials
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with a diverse group of students and address their individual learning needs
- Prior experience in teaching, mentoring, or working in academia is an added advantage
- Master’s degree or higher in Environmental Science, Geography, or a related discipline is preferred
