Senior Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and data-intensive applications. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust, scalable, and efficient data solutions. Key Responsibilities: - Design and develop high-performance, scalable, and fault-tolerant data pipelines and data processing workflows - Implement data transformation, extraction, and loading processes to ensure data quality and consistency - Optimize database schemas, indices, and queries for optimal performance - Automate data ingestion, processing, and delivery processes - Participate in the design and implementation of data lake and data warehouse architectures - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address data-related challenges - Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices Required Skills and Experience: - 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field - Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java for building data pipelines and applications - Expertise in data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, or Apache Airflow - Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL) and their optimization techniques - Experience in designing and implementing data lake and data warehouse architectures - Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills - Strong communication and collaboration skills
