Job Description: Entrepreneur-in-Residence (EIR)
Location: Chandigarh (CCR)
Company Overview: Theater is a dynamic and rapidly growing fashion start-up based in India. Our mission is to create India’s best design-led, mass-premium western fashion company. At present, Theater specializes in footwear, handbags, fragrances, and stockings for women.
Why This Role Exists: As Theater scales, the Founder needs a sharp, high-agency partner to take ownership of critical business problems - someone who can think strategically and execute relentlessly. This is not a support role. It is a building role.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own problems end-to-end: Take full accountability for high-priority initiatives - from diagnosis and solution design through to execution and review - with minimal hand-holding.
· Drive strategic projects: Lead initiatives across product, supply chain, marketing, and customer experience that have an outsized impact on growth and operations.
· Think from first principles: Break down complex, ambiguous challenges using structured reasoning and root cause analysis; bring clarity where there is none.
· Build alongside the Founder: Work as a thought partner and execution engine on new category launches, market expansion, and operational scale-up.
· Mobilise teams without authority: Align cross-functional teams around shared goals, drive accountability, and remove bottlenecks.
Requirements:
· 3–6 years of experience in e-commerce, consumer brands, management consulting, or a high-growth startup.
· Prior exposure to a founder's office, startup operations, or your own entrepreneurial venture is a strong plus.
· You think in first principles, not templates.
· Comfortable with ambiguity - you don't wait to be told what to do.
· Strong analytical skills; proficient in Excel / Google Sheets for data-driven decision making.
· Exceptional communicator who can align stakeholders at all levels.
· Bachelor's degree required; MBA from a top-tier institution preferred.
