WHAT YOU WILL DO
We are looking for an entrepreneurially-minded individual who thrives on building from zero to one. As Entrepreneur-in-Residence, you will work hand-in-hand with the Founders to identify, incubate, and launch new business initiatives — turning early-stage ideas into commercially viable ventures. This is not an advisory role; you are expected to be deeply hands-on, with ownership over new initiatives from conception through execution.
We also use AI extensively in our work - if you’re keen to work with an AI Native company and use AI extensively in your own work, we are the right company for you.
In this role you would:
- Identify, evaluate, and develop new business opportunities and strategic initiatives that align with the company's vision in insurance and healthcare.
- Lead end-to-end incubation of new ventures or product lines — from ideation, market research, and business planning, to go-to-market execution and early traction.
- Work directly with the Founder(s) on the highest-priority strategic projects, acting as an extension of the founding team.
- Conduct rigorous pre-analysis, market sizing, and due diligence for potential growth opportunities, partnerships, and adjacencies.
- Develop and stress-test business plans, financial models, and go-to-market strategies for new initiatives.
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders including strategic partners, investors, distribution channels, and regulators.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration, bringing together product, technology, sales, and operations to deliver on new initiatives.
- Make rapid decisions with incomplete information, adapting plans as new data emerges.
- Finally, use AI extensively - however, use your taste, judgement, expertise to ensure quality of deliverables and outcomes is fantastic!
REQUIREMENTS
- 8 years of relevant experience, ideally spanning strategy consulting, investment banking, venture capital, or a prior founding/early-stage leadership role.
- Need to be a power user of AI in your work (or on path to becoming one!) - the RIA team uses AI extensively.
- Demonstrated bias for action — you have built, launched, or significantly scaled something before (a product, business unit, or company).
- Strong business acumen with the ability to move fluidly between high-level strategy and ground-level execution.
- Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills; comfort with ambiguity and incomplete data.
- Experience working with or building partnerships with corporates, insurers, or healthcare organisations is a strong plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset — you treat problems like a founder, not a consultant; you own outcomes, not just workstreams.
- Strong communication and influencing skills — ability to pitch ideas internally and externally with conviction.
- Understanding of the Indian insurance and/or healthcare ecosystem is preferred but not mandatory.
