COMPENSATION: Salary Schedule starting rate BA0/0- $55,898 to MA90/16 $105,358 depending on experience and official transcripts.
BENEFITS: Health Insurance benefits for employees working 630 hours or more per school year include medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability plan through SEBB. Retirement benefits are provided through DRS. Paid leave benefits of 12 sick leave days and 3 personal leave days per school year.

JOB DESCRIPTION
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of music and performing arts subject areas; effective instructional techniques, effective behavior management techniques, rules and procedures for student safety.
Ability to organize ideas, time, and materials to accomplish goals.
Availability and willingness to facilitate performances taking place after-school hours.
Must be technology-literate.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with students, parents, and staff.
Ability to relate well with students, parents, and fellow staff members. Must possess a team-approach attitude.
Ability to serve as a role model and to interact positively with students.
Ability to maintain confidentiality per district policy and state and federal laws.
Dedication to professional growth and development.
Ability to maintain punctuality and consistent attendance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid Washington teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).
Demonstrated evidence of classroom management skills.
Prior teaching experience in music/performing arts preferred.
Demonstrated willingness and ability to work cooperatively with administration and staff.
Upon employment, must pass a Washington State Patrol and F.B.I. fingerprint screening examination and background check.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide high-quality music/performing arts instruction to elementary school students. Plan, prepare, and conduct music performances and special events. Plan and modify programs to facilitate the development of individual students learning needs. Manage student behaviors and maintain an atmosphere conducive to learning, using the PBIS (Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports) system. Enforce school rules and monitor student behavior in non-classroom settings. Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and instructional materials; manage, account for, and effectively use resources to advance program goals. Ability to share materials and collaborate with current music staff for instrument use. Assess student achievement of objectives. Keep adequate records of student progress and communicate progress regularly to parents/guardians. Respond to parental concerns in a professional and timely fashion. Maintain student records including daily grades, attendance reports, student assessment records, and others as required. Effectively use multiple means of communication: face-to-face, email, phone, and Remind. Participate in both short- and long-term instructional planning, which will include writing lesson plans. Work effectively as a member of collaborative teams with staff and administrators. Demonstrate organizational and management skills in the classroom. Ability to think outside the box and demonstrate flexibility around teaching space required as facilities are near capacity. Participate in all required staff meetings, professional development, and activities deemed necessary by the District, to accomplish the objectives of the position (i.e. IEP, 504, Care Team, Collaboration). Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Entiat School District is located on the eastern slopes of the Cascade Mountain Range at the confluence
of the Columbia and Entiat Rivers, about 15 miles north of Wenatchee. With a PreK-12 enrollment of
approximately 400 students, the school system serves as the hub of community activities. Entiat is a
