Experience: 3–7 years in B2B technology sales
About General Tech Works
General Tech Works is a technology company that builds custom software, enterprise applications, web and mobile platforms, SaaS products, AI-powered solutions and business process automation systems.
We work with businesses to understand their operational challenges and turn them into practical software solutions. Our work spans business applications, enterprise workflows, integrations, digital platforms and AI-enabled products.
We are looking to build a strong enterprise sales function that can create meaningful client relationships, identify high-value business opportunities and convert them into long-term technology engagements.
About the Role
We are looking for a commercially driven Enterprise Sales Manager who can own the B2B sales cycle from prospecting to deal closure.
You will identify businesses that need technology solutions, engage decision-makers, conduct discovery meetings, understand their business challenges and work with our technical team to develop appropriate solutions and proposals.
This role requires consultative selling. You must be comfortable discussing business processes and technology at a high level, presenting value propositions to senior stakeholders and managing deals involving multiple decision-makers.
We are looking for someone who can build a repeatable sales pipeline and generate revenue—not simply pass leads to the founder.
Key Responsibilities
1. Enterprise Prospecting & Pipeline Development
- Identify and target mid-market companies, enterprises and growing businesses that need custom technology solutions.
- Build targeted prospect lists across relevant industries and business functions.
- Conduct outbound outreach through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, referrals, networking and industry events.
- Develop relationships with business owners, founders, CXOs, CTOs, CIOs, operations heads and digital transformation leaders.
- Build a qualified pipeline of software development, enterprise application, AI and automation opportunities.
- Maintain accurate prospect, opportunity and follow-up records in the company's CRM.
- Develop account-based outreach strategies for high-value prospects.
2. Consultative Selling
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand business objectives, operational bottlenecks and existing systems.
- Identify opportunities where custom software, integrations, automation or AI can deliver measurable business value.
- Qualify opportunities based on budget, business need, decision-making authority, urgency and fit.
- Translate business challenges into clear solution opportunities.
- Coordinate with technical leadership to assess feasibility, scope, timelines and commercial requirements.
- Position GTW as a long-term technology partner rather than a low-cost development vendor.
3. Proposal Development & Deal Closure
- Prepare proposals, presentations, commercial estimates and statements of work in collaboration with the delivery team.
- Present solutions and business value to prospective clients.
- Manage objections, pricing discussions, procurement requirements and negotiations.
- Coordinate technical discussions, product demonstrations and proof-of-concept requirements.
- Drive opportunities through stakeholder alignment, approvals, contracting and closure.
- Ensure commercial commitments are realistic and aligned with delivery capacity.
- Maintain a clear next step and follow-up plan for every qualified opportunity.
4. Account Growth & Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with existing clients.
- Identify opportunities for additional modules, new applications, integrations, AI implementations and ongoing development retainers.
- Maintain regular engagement with key accounts and monitor client satisfaction.
- Work with project delivery teams to identify expansion opportunities without compromising active commitments.
- Support renewals and recurring technology engagements.
5. Sales Strategy & Reporting
- Develop a focused ideal customer profile and account acquisition strategy.
- Maintain a measurable sales pipeline with stages, deal values, expected close dates and next actions.
- Report on qualified pipeline, proposal conversion, wins, lost deals and revenue collected.
- Analyse lost opportunities and improve qualification, messaging and sales execution.
- Share market feedback to improve GTW's service offerings and positioning.
- Work directly with the founder on strategic accounts and high-value negotiations.
What You'll Sell
Our core offerings include:
- Custom web application and enterprise software development.
- Mobile application development.
- SaaS platforms and business management systems.
- ERP, CRM, workflow and operational automation solutions.
- AI-powered applications, document intelligence and business process automation.
- API integrations, legacy system modernisation and digital transformation.
- Ongoing software development, maintenance and technology partnerships.
Required Qualifications
- 3–7 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in IT services, software development, SaaS, enterprise technology or digital transformation.
- Demonstrated experience managing a sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
- Experience selling technology solutions to business owners, senior management or enterprise stakeholders.
- Strong discovery, presentation, negotiation and commercial communication skills.
- Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate their business value.
- Experience preparing proposals and coordinating with technical or presales teams.
- Strong pipeline management and CRM discipline.
- Ability to work towards measurable revenue targets.
Preferred Experience
- Experience closing custom software development projects or enterprise technology engagements.
- Familiarity with project-based contracts, retainers, annual contracts and enterprise procurement.
- Experience selling AI, automation, ERP, CRM or business process solutions.
- Existing professional relationships with decision-makers in relevant industries.
- Experience with outbound sales, account-based selling and consultative sales methodologies.
- Familiarity with tools such as Zoho CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and email outreach platforms.
What We're Looking For
We want a salesperson who can understand a client's business before proposing a technical solution.
You should be able to identify a meaningful business problem, engage the right stakeholders, build trust, coordinate a credible solution and drive the opportunity to a commercial decision.
You should be comfortable with outbound prospecting and persistent follow-ups, but equally capable of running senior-level discovery meetings and negotiating high-value contracts.
We value commercial judgement, ownership, communication and demonstrated revenue generation over generic claims about networking or relationship building.
