Principal Architect – Hospitality Platform

Join a global technology leader and play a strategic role in shaping the next generation of a Hospitality Platform. As a Principal Architect, you'll lead enterprise-wide architectural initiatives, define technology strategy, and influence the evolution from a product-centric portfolio to a customer-centric platform ecosystem.

What You'll Do
Lead Platform Transformation
- Drive architecture and technical design for strategic Hospitality Platform initiatives.
- Define scalable, cloud-native solutions aligned with an open platform vision.
- Enable cross-platform data sharing, event-driven architecture, and standardized data models.
- Improve observability, user analytics, integrations, and platform interoperability.
Own Architecture Strategy
- Design enterprise-level solution architectures aligned with long-term business and technology goals.
- Lead technical discovery, solution design, and architecture reviews.
- Build technology roadmaps and present architectural proposals to senior leadership.
- Support investment planning through cost estimation and delivery planning.
Cloud Platform & Governance
- Define cloud platform strategy and architectural standards.
- Drive governance around scalability, reliability, security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Establish cloud guardrails, landing zones, policy frameworks, and compliance practices.
- Partner with enterprise platform teams to ensure consistent cloud adoption.
Knowledge & Architecture Leadership
- Build and govern the platform knowledge base.
- Create and maintain reference architectures, implementation patterns, design guidelines, and best practices.
- Champion architecture adoption across Engineering, Product, and Operations.
- Mentor teams and promote engineering excellence across the organization.
Technical Modernization
- Support modernization and technical rationalization initiatives across acquired and legacy solutions.
- Drive technology simplification, technical debt reduction, platform stability, and standardization.
- Promote FinOps best practices to optimize cloud investments throughout the product lifecycle.
What We're Looking For
- 15–23 years of software engineering and architecture experience.
- Proven expertise in designing and delivering large-scale distributed cloud platforms.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud-native architecture.
- Deep understanding of:
- Microservices Architecture
- Event-Driven Systems
- APIs & Integration
- Enterprise Architecture
- Platform Engineering
- Cloud Governance
- Non-Functional Requirements (Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Security)
- Experience defining architecture strategy, governance, and technology roadmaps.
- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across globally distributed teams.
- Passion for mentoring engineers and driving engineering best practices.
