Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an English Teacher for primary grades at Sanjay Ghodawat International School, located in Kolhapur. The English Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons tailored to meet the academic needs of primary-grade students. Additional responsibilities include developing lesson plans, fostering language skills, evaluating student progress, and encouraging critical thinking and creative expression. The teacher will also collaborate with colleagues and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes holistic growth and learning.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in English Teaching, with the ability to foster language development in primary-grade students
- Experience in Lesson Planning and curriculum development tailored to different learning needs
- Teaching and Education expertise with an understanding of modern pedagogical practices
- Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues
- Passion for teaching and mentoring young learners
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, or a related field (preferably with teaching certification)
- Previous experience teaching English to primary grade students is an advantage
- Familiarity with IB, Cambridge, or CBSE curricula is a plus
