Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an English Teacher (Cambridge experienced) based in Kolhapur at Sanjay Ghodawat International School. The English Teacher will plan and deliver engaging Cambridge curriculum-aligned lessons for relevant grades, focusing on language proficiency, literature appreciation, and critical thinking. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans and learning materials, assessing student work, providing constructive feedback, and maintaining accurate academic records. The role involves designing formative and summative assessments, supporting exam preparation, and integrating technology and active learning strategies into classroom teaching. The teacher will also participate in faculty meetings, parent interactions, professional development, and school events, contributing to a positive, inclusive, and value-driven learning environment.
Qualifications
- Strong subject expertise and practical experience in English Teaching and Teaching within the Cambridge curriculum framework.
- Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum implementation tailored to diverse learning needs and assessment requirements.
- Relevant academic background in Education or English, with formal teacher training (B.Ed./equivalent) preferred.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear spoken and written English, and the ability to engage learners and collaborate with families and colleagues.
- Prior experience teaching Cambridge Lower Secondary/IGCSE/AS & A Level English is highly desirable.
- Ability to use educational technology and digital tools to enhance teaching, learning, and assessment.
- Demonstrated classroom management skills, with a learner-centered, inclusive, and supportive teaching approach.
- Commitment to continuous professional development, co-curricular involvement, and the holistic growth of students.
