Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive English curriculum for higher secondary students.
- Engage students through a variety of teaching methods including lectures, discussions, and multimedia presentations.
- Create lesson plans that align with the school’s mission and values, ensuring a nurturing educational atmosphere.
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and promotes critical thinking.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to design interdisciplinary curriculums and initiatives.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events.
- Communicate with parents about student performance and needs, ensuring they are informed and engaged in their child’s education.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's English department through innovative teaching practices and feedback.
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in English or a related field.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree is mandatory.
- Strong command of English language and literature.
- Proficiency in pedagogical strategies specific to higher education.
Desired Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in a co-educational setting.
- Experience in curriculum development and assessment methods.
- Proven track record of student engagement and achieving academic results.
- Familiarity with technology integration in the classroom and remote learning environments is desirable.
