Role Overview:
We’re looking for a sharp, creative English Promo Writer who knows how to grab attention in the first 3 seconds and hold it till the last frame. You’ll be responsible for writing compelling promos, hooks, and narratives that convert viewers into loyal audiences.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English with strong storytelling and writing skills
- Proven experience in English promo writing (OTT, digital, or similar formats preferred)
- Deep understanding of audience psychology, hooks, and retention techniques
- Ability to take and implement feedback quickly
- Data-driven mindset — comfortable making creative decisions based on performance metrics
- Interest in watching long-format web shows and understanding their narrative depth
Key Responsibilities:
- Write high-impact English promos for web shows, especially in the fantasy and drama genres
- Craft strong hooks that engage the audience within the first 3 seconds
- Ensure retention-driven storytelling throughout the promo
- Collaborate closely with the creative, editing, and marketing teams
- Analyse performance data and optimise writing based on insights
- Take ownership of content quality and continuously improve based on feedback
