Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for English and Social Studies Teachers located at Sanjeewan Vidyalaya in Panchgani. The teachers will plan and deliver engaging lessons in English and Social Studies that align with the school’s holistic and future-ready curriculum. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, teaching classes, assessing student progress, providing timely feedback, and maintaining accurate records. The role involves creating inclusive, student-centered learning environments; integrating activities that build critical thinking, communication, and global awareness; and supporting co-curricular initiatives such as projects, clubs, and events. Teachers are also expected to collaborate with colleagues, participate in staff meetings and professional development, communicate effectively with parents/guardians, and contribute to the overall pastoral care and wellbeing of students in a residential school setting.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong expertise in Social Studies and World History, with the ability to make global and historical concepts accessible and engaging for learners.
- Candidates should possess skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development, enabling them to design structured, age-appropriate, and outcome-focused learning experiences.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, English, Social Studies, History, or related fields; a B.Ed. or equivalent teaching certification is preferred.
- Strong English language proficiency, both written and spoken, with the ability to teach reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills effectively.
- Collaborative mindset, reliability, and willingness to engage with the school community, including colleagues, students, and families.
