Role Overview
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Engineering Recruiter based in Chennai, with opportunities for partial remote work. As an Engineering Recruiter, your responsibilities will include managing the full-life cycle recruitment process, sourcing and hiring top engineering talent, conducting interviews, and assessing technical candidates. Collaborating closely with hiring managers, you will play a key role in building a strong pipeline of skilled professionals to meet the workforce needs of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for engineering roles including CAD Engineers, Design Engineers, BIW Engineers and DFM specialists
- Source candidates using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean/X-ray search and specialist engineering platforms
- Screen CVs and assess technical competencies (3D CAD, assemblies, GD&T, DFM principles)
- Conduct initial interviews covering both technical and behavioural aspects
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, competencies and hiring plans
- Build and maintain talent pipelines aligned to tools (CATIA, NX, Creo, SolidWorks) and industry sectors
- Evaluate experience in reverse engineering, FEA-ready modelling and manufacturing processes
- Manage candidate pipelines via ATS, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting
- Support employer branding and recruitment marketing initiatives
- Monitor hiring metrics (time-to-hire, pipeline conversion, quality-of-hire)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Full-life Cycle Recruiting and the ability to manage end-to-end recruitment processes
- Strong skills in Technical Recruiting and experience hiring candidates in technical and engineering domains
- Experience conducting interviews and assessing candidates to ensure alignment with role requirements
- Ability to collaborate with hiring teams and effectively manage recruiting strategies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems and recruiting platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Prior experience recruiting in industries such as aerospace, automotive, or engineering design is a plus
- CIPD qualification (desirable)
Required Skills
- 3–5+ years’ experience in engineering or technical recruitment
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and manufacturing processes
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with ATS platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter
Technical & Analytical Knowledge
- Understanding of DFM, GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- Awareness of FEA/CFD fundamentals and simulation-driven design
- Knowledge of industries such as Aerospace, Automotive (BIW), Architecture (BIM) and Marine
- Experience with data-driven recruitment, reporting and market mapping
Preferred
- Experience hiring for engineering consultancies or OEMs
- Familiarity with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA)
- Exposure to global or remote hiring environments
