Engineering Manager
Location: Jakarta
Reporting To: COO
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Hands-on Development (60%)
- Take full ownership of the existing codebase, driving day-to-day development, feature releases, and technical debt reduction.
- Write, review, and deploy clean, scalable, and maintainable code primarily using C# and .NET Core.
- Architect, manage, and optimize cloud infrastructure within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.
- Ensure high availability, robust security practices, and scalable database management using Microsoft SQL Server and Azure data services.
- Design and maintain robust RESTful APIs and microservices (where applicable) to support frontend applications and third-party integrations.
Team Management & Delivery (40%)
- Lead, mentor, and scale a lean, high-performing engineering team.
- Run Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, to maintain delivery momentum and alignment with business objectives.
- Manage deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes using Azure DevOps, and release schedules.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the engineering team and executive leadership, communicating timelines, risks, and technical strategy to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Manage external vendor relationships, software licensing, and cloud cost optimization.
Required Technical Stack & Experience
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2+ years in a senior, lead, or architectural role.
- Microsoft Ecosystem: Deep hands-on expertise in C#, .NET Core, and ASP.NET.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Proven experience designing, provisioning, and managing infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Blob Storage, and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD).
- Database Management: Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, including schema design, query optimization, and Entity Framework.
- DevOps & Tooling: Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control using Azure DevOps, Git, and GitHub Actions.
- Frontend Knowledge: Good understanding of modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js to effectively support full-stack feature delivery.
