Role Overview
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced
Engineering Manager to lead high-performing engineering teams in building scalable, reliable, and customer-centric software solutions. You will combine
technical leadership, people management, and delivery ownership to drive business impact.
🎯 Key Responsibilities 👥 Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers (5–12 members)
- Conduct performance reviews, career planning, and regular 1:1s
- Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Hire top talent and build diverse, high-performing teams
⚙️ Technical Leadership
- Drive architecture and design decisions for scalable distributed systems
- Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and system design
- Partner with architects on cloud-native solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Guide teams on DevOps, SRE, and reliability engineering practices
🚀 Delivery & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of features and platforms
- Work with Product Managers to define roadmap and priorities
- Ensure timely delivery with high quality and predictability
- Manage risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations
🧠 Strategy & Planning
- Translate business goals into technical execution plans
- Drive quarterly and annual planning (OKRs, KPIs)
- Balance technical debt vs feature delivery
- Enable data-driven decision making
🤝 Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and Business teams
- Communicate progress, risks, and outcomes to leadership
- Align cross-team initiatives and dependencies
📊 Operational Excellence - Improve system reliability, scalability, and performance
- Track and optimize engineering metrics:
- Deployment frequency
- Lead time for changes
- MTTR (Mean Time To Recovery)
- Drive incident management and postmortems
🛠️ Required Skills & Qualifications 🎓 Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
💻 Experience
- 8–15+ years in software engineering
- 2–5+ years in engineering management or team leadership
- Strong background in backend or full-stack development
🔧 Technical Skills - Proficiency in one or more languages: Java, Python, Go, Node.js, PHP
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
- Strong understanding of:
- Microservices architecture
- Distributed systems
- RESTful APIs
- CI/CD pipelines
☁️ DevOps & Cloud - Experience with:
- Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code
- Monitoring & observability tools

- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to influence without authority
- Problem-solving and decision-making mindset
- High ownership and accountability
