Job Summary:
The Engineering Manager will lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering functions including Package Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Design, E&I and Structural Engineering for engineered package systems and oil & gas process packages.
The role will oversee engineering activities for packages such as Chemical Injection Systems (CIS), Wellhead Control Panels (WHCP), Gas Dehydration and other process packages across the complete project lifecycle—from bidding, FEED, detailed engineering, fabrication support, testing, project delivery, and after-sales support while ensuring engineering deliverables are technically sound, commercially viable, optimized for manufacturability, and compliant with client specifications and international industry standards
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Roles and Responsibilities :
Engineering Leadership
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams for execution of oil & gas package engineering projects.
- Ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables in line with project schedules, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and engineering direction throughout project execution.
- Drive team development, technical capability enhancement, and resource planning.
Project Engineering & Execution
- Manage engineering activities from bidding, FEED, detailed engineering, fabrication support, testing, FAT, and final project delivery.
- Review project scope, client specifications, and technical requirements to establish effective engineering execution strategies.
- Oversee engineering deliverables including design calculations, datasheets, equipment specifications, GA drawings, and technical documentation.
- Support troubleshooting and technical resolution during project execution.
Pre-Award & Tendering Support
- Lead pre-award engineering activities including preliminary design, tender drawings, material take-offs, and cost estimation.
- Work closely with procurement for material sourcing, vendor development, and quotation preparation.
- Support proposal team in developing technically compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions during bidding stages.
Client & Technical Interface
- Engage with clients during FEED and project execution stages to provide technical consultancy and engineering support.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and project stakeholders for technical clarifications and design approvals.
- Ensure compliance with client standards and project specifications.
Process Improvement & Standardization
- Develop and implement engineering standardization practices to improve productivity and quality consistency.
- Enhance engineering processes and systems to support larger and more complex projects.
- Promote continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage engineering budgets, resource allocation, and manpower planning for project execution.
- Monitor engineering progress, resource utilization, and project risks.
- Optimize team utilization across multiple projects
Product Development Support
- Work closely with Product Development teams for validation of technical deliverables and support new product launches.
- Support engineering improvements and product enhancements.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with organizational quality standards and project requirements.
- Ensure adherence to international codes and standards such as ASME, API, ANSI, ASTM, and client-specific requirements.
Technical Competencies:
o Familiar with Engineering Softwares like HYSYS, CAESAR, PV Elite, etc
o Conversant Package/Modular Engineering, Process/Mechanical Engineering Design
o Strong in people management. Familiar with resource planning.
o Experience in package systems such as CIS, WHCP, and Process Packages.
o Good knowledge equipment selection, technology selection and package integration.
o Familiar with international engineering standards and client specifications including Saudi Aramco, ADNOC, PDO, KOC, and Shell plc.
o Minimum 15-18 years of experience in on-shore / Off-shore Oil and Gas Projects.
