Our services include deep drilling, in-situ testing, geophysical investigations, hydrogeology, and geotechnical interpretation for major infrastructure projects.
We are currently involved in investigations for tunnel, dam, mining, and large infrastructure projects and are looking to strengthen our field geology team.
Role Overview
We are seeking an Engineering Geologist to supervise and execute geotechnical and geological investigations for twin tunnel projects. The role involves site-based work, including rock core logging, supervision of drilling activities, and preparation of geological records.
This role is ideal for geologists who enjoy hands-on fieldwork in infrastructure and underground projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise borehole drilling and core recovery at project sites
• Carry out detailed rock core logging and prepare geological logs
• Record lithology, weathering grades, RQD, fractures, joints, and groundwater conditions
• Identify geological features such as fault zones, shear zones, and weak strata
• Assist in packer permeability testing and other in-situ tests
• Maintain daily site investigation records and reports
• Coordinate with drilling teams and project engineers
• Support preparation of geotechnical investigation reports
Required Qualifications
• B.Sc / M.Sc in Geology or Applied Geology
• 2–5 years experience in geological or geotechnical investigations
• Experience in rock core logging and borehole supervision
Preferred Experience
• Tunnel projects
• Rock mass logging and RQD assessment
• Geological mapping in infrastructure projects
• Packer testing or hydrogeological investigations
Skills Required
• Strong understanding of rock formations and geological structures
• Ability to prepare clear geological logs and site reports
• Comfortable working in site-based environments
• Good coordination with drilling crews and engineers
Additional Requirements
• Willingness to work at project sites
• Ability to travel as per project requirements
• Physically fit for fieldwork
