Role Description The Engineering Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based at Shridevi Institute of Engineering & Technology in Tumakuru. The faculty member will deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions, ensuring that course content aligns with the curriculum and academic standards. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing academic guidance and mentoring. The role also involves contributing to departmental activities, participating in curriculum development, engaging in research or scholarly work, and supporting institutional initiatives such as accreditation, outreach, and student development programs.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in an engineering discipline in Computer Science or related fields and ability to teach core and elective courses.
- Demonstrated skills in classroom teaching, student assessment, and use of modern instructional methods or educational technologies.
- Ability to engage in research, projects, or scholarly activities, including guiding student projects and contributing to publications or conferences.
- Effective communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills to work with students, peers, and administrative teams.
- Relevant academic qualifications, typically a Master’s degree or Ph.D. in an engineering discipline from a recognized institution; prior teaching or industry experience is an advantage.
- Commitment to ethical practices, inclusive education, continuous learning, and participation in institutional development activities.
