Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineering role based in Haridwar. The Engineering professional will oversee the operation, maintenance, and reliability of mechanical, electrical, and utility systems within the hotel, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with IHCL standards and local regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting regular inspections, planning preventive and predictive maintenance, coordinating repairs with internal teams and external vendors, and minimizing equipment downtime. The role will support property enhancement projects, assist in energy conservation initiatives, and contribute engineering insights to renovation or modernization activities. The Engineering team member will also maintain accurate documentation, monitor inventory of technical supplies, uphold health and safety protocols, and collaborate closely with operations and management to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to hotel operations, maintenance, and project work.
- Demonstrated Analytical Skills to troubleshoot technical issues, interpret maintenance data, and support decisions that improve system performance and energy efficiency.
- Proficiency in Project Management, including planning, coordinating, and monitoring engineering projects, vendor activities, and scheduled maintenance within defined timelines and budgets.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers, and to prepare clear technical reports and documentation.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Experience in hospitality, facilities management, industrial plants, or building services engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety standards, statutory compliance, and best practices in preventive and predictive maintenance.
- Ability to work in shifts, respond to emergencies, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
