Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Engineering role based in the Pune Division. The engineer will participate in the design, development, and optimization of municipal cleaning and maintenance equipment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in manufacturing, quality, and service. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing and reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and documentation; supporting prototype development and testing; and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and safety regulations. The role involves root-cause analysis of equipment issues, providing engineering support to service teams, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on existing product lines. The engineer will also coordinate with suppliers and technology partners, assist in cost and efficiency analysis, and help implement engineering changes to improve product performance and reliability.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong mechanical or industrial engineering skills, including knowledge of machine design, hydraulics, pneumatics, and fabrication processes.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in CAD tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar) for drafting, modeling, and design validation.
- Candidates should possess skills in testing, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis of heavy equipment or automotive/industrial machinery.
- Candidates should possess understanding of quality standards, safety regulations, and ISO 9001:2015 practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and collaboration skills to work with production, sales, and service teams, as well as external technology partners.
- Relevant qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; experience in heavy equipment, municipal machinery, or automotive sectors is an advantage.
- Additional beneficial skills include project management, basic knowledge of electrical and control systems, familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies, and the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and international standards.
