Job description: Engineer / Sr. Engineer - Vehicle Integration
Location: Yelahanka, Bangalore
About The Gig
We are looking for a highly motivated Engineer / Sr. Engineer – Vehicle Integration to support end-to-end vehicle integration activities for electric two-wheelers. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including Mechanical, Electrical, Embedded, Validation, and Manufacturing to ensure seamless integration of vehicle systems and timely project execution.
What You’ll Do
- Vehicle Layout & Packaging: Own the master layout and structural integration of the scooter platform to ensure the perfect fitment of all aggregates.
- Concept Creation: Develop initial 2D & 3D design proposals for major structural components, including the frame, front fork, handlebar, plastic parts, stands etc.
- Prepare Benchmarking data & the technical specification sheet.
- PLM & BOM Management: Create the vehicle assembly in the PLM, manage the Bill of Materials (BOM), and handle part release workflows within Siemens Teamcenter.
- Checking the parts & sub-assemblies envelope for static and dynamic clearances.
- Checking for the requirement in part as per Homologation & regulatory requirements during the design stage
- Creating the Homologation drawing for documentation.
- Testing & Validation: Coordinate with the testing team to ensure the vehicle meets the Design Verification Plan (DVP) and resolve any testing-related issues.
- DFX Coordination: Lead technical discussions and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve DFM (Manufacturing), DFA (Assembly), and DFS (Serviceability) constraints.
- Quality & Documentation: Support DFMEA sessions, generate 2D drawings for prototype builds, and provide gap specifications, illustrative drawings, and part catalogs.
- Plant Support: Provide engineering input during vehicle assembly at the plant to resolve shop-floor and assembly challenges.
What You Bring
- B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Automobile, Mechatronics, or related engineering field.
- 3+ years of experience in two-wheeler packaging.
- Proficiency in CAD (NX/SolidWorks).
