Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Vapi, moving from Engineer to Manager responsibilities across production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance. The role involves planning and supervising daily production activities to meet output, safety, and quality targets while optimizing resource utilization. The individual will coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing issues, implement process improvements, and support new product introductions. Responsibilities include monitoring quality metrics, driving root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The role also covers maintenance planning for equipment and utilities, overseeing preventive and breakdown maintenance activities, and leading a team of engineers and technicians through clear goals, coaching, and performance reviews.
Qualifications
- Strong Engineering Management and Team Leadership skills to supervise multidisciplinary teams and drive operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Project Management and Integration to coordinate production, quality, manufacturing engineering, and maintenance initiatives.
- Exposure to Software Development or manufacturing-related software tools (e.g., ERP, MES, maintenance management systems) is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial production, preferably in refrigeration, consumer durables, or related engineering sectors.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and basic quality systems (e.g., ISO standards, 5S, Kaizen, root cause analysis).
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, process documents, and equipment manuals, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively on-site, and a commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
