Role Description
This role is for an Engineer - Software Testing, based on-site in Chennai. The candidate will perform hands-on software testing for lab informatics products, design and execute test cases, and identify and report software defects. Responsibilities also include collaborating with development teams to ensure software meets quality standards, assisting in automating test processes, and providing support during software implementation phases.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
- Experience in Back-End Web Development and general Software Development principles
- Proficiency in Programming languages used for testing and development
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Good communication and ability to work collaboratively in teams
- Familiarity with laboratory informatics or experience in related industries is a plus
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field is required
- 1-3 years of relevant experience
Responsibilities
• Ensuring timely & successful completion of tasks assigned
• Should ensure that all critical defects are fixed before release.
• Should prepare the test report.
Design and execute test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements.
Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing for web applications.
Log and track defects using Jira and collaborated with developers to resolve issues.
Conduct API testing using Postman.
Develop basic automation scripts using Selenium WebDriver and TestNG.
Participate in sprint planning and agile ceremonies.
