Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Engineer / Senior Engineer – Production (Moulding), based at the company’s facility in Khed. The role involves overseeing injection molding production lines, monitoring process parameters, and ensuring that daily production targets are achieved with consistent quality and minimal downtime. Responsibilities include coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, troubleshooting molding issues, optimizing cycle times, and supporting the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing and 5S. The engineer will prepare and maintain production documentation, support new product trials and mold validations, and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and IATF/ISO standards on the shop floor. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, training production operators, and contributing to cost reduction and efficiency improvement projects are integral parts of the day-to-day activities.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong technical knowledge of injection molding processes, moulding machine operation, and tooling concepts.
- Candidates should possess skills in production planning, shop-floor supervision, and meeting daily output and quality targets.
- Candidates should possess abilities in process optimization, problem-solving, and root cause analysis for defects and downtime.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with automotive manufacturing standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and related quality systems.
- Candidates should possess competence in documenting production data, preparing reports, and using basic MS Office or similar tools.
- Candidates should possess effective communication, team coordination, and training skills to work with operators and support functions.
- A diploma or degree in Mechanical, Production, Plastics, or Polymer Engineering (or a related discipline)
