Role Description The Engineer Sales and Service Rotary Equipment role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The role involves providing technical support and field service for rotary equipment, mechanical seals, and rotary unions at customer locations. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing equipment issues, performing maintenance and repair activities, and commissioning or testing systems after service. The engineer will also assist in sales by understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable products or solutions, preparing basic technical proposals, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and service. Regular interaction with customers, documentation of service reports, and adherence to safety and quality standards are key aspects of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for rotary equipment and related systems.
- Candidates should possess field service and maintenance & repair skills for mechanical seals, rotary unions, and associated components.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills for customer interaction, reporting, and coordination with internal teams.
- Relevant engineering qualification (Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related field) is preferred.
- Experience in rotating equipment, industrial maintenance, or mechanical seals service will be an advantage.
- Ability to read technical drawings, understand equipment specifications, and work safely at customer sites.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, willingness to travel for field assignments, and capability to work independently and in teams.
